First and foremost, what an absolute pleasure it has been to teach this group of students this year. We have come so far and learned so much. I am so thankful I got to be their First Grade Teacher:)
May Hoʻike is Wednesday May 24th. All first graders are to wear black bottoms and tops. Please no prints or letters on shirts and for the girls no short skirts. :) Girls to wear plumeria or any other type of flower in their hair (hair in a bun if they can). I passed out a map last week. Where it is highlighted is where our area is. We are curved so we will be facing D building and also out at the field. Please ask your child to tell you where they will be located. :) We have been practicing really hard and are excited to show you what we have accomplished.
Following May Hoʻike please come back to the classroom and look at the work portfolio your child has completed this year. You will see all the hard work and excellence in learning your child has completed this year.
On Thursday we will be having our last buddy get together and celebration. We will do a breakfast together. Please send a breakfast item with your child that day to share.
On the last day of school, we will have a water play celebration outside with all the First Grade classes. Please send your child with a swim suit and towel and a extra change of clothes.
We will be having a class party on Friday. We will also be having lunch bunch and celebrating our year together. Please send a dish to share with your child that day. This is a special day where we end it together as the community we have grown to love and care about in D-104.
I have sent flyers home about all these activities with more information. :)
Friday is the last day of school. School will let out at 12:20pm that day.
